  • Enhance and refine aerospace composite manufacturing techniques and methodologies.
  • Establish criteria for production readiness and validate developed processes, procedures, and tooling fixtures to facilitate the transition to production.
  • Ensure the creation or review of essential production documentation, including work instructions and travelers, to maintain a seamless production flow.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to assess product conformity, addressing non-conformities by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Identify and spearhead initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and lead cost-benefit lean activities.
  • Provide periodic updates on engineering and technical projects as required by clients.
Qualifications and Skills:

Essential Requirements:
  • Note: Due to the sensitive nature of the work, only U.S. Citizens and U.S. Persons (permanent residents) will be considered for this position. Employment visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is mandatory, with a preference for Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 1-4 years of experience in manufacturing process development and improvement is essential, aligning with the requirements for a Level 2 Engineer. Candidates with varying levels of experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in aerospace composite manufacturing (e.g., Prepreg Layup, RTM/VARTM, autoclave processing, composite finishing) is highly desirable. Candidates lacking this specific focus must demonstrate their ability to adapt their skills to this environment.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings is required, with a basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality systems and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated industry (such as Aerospace or Medical Devices) is advantageous.
  • Competence in Microsoft software (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio) is necessary for creating work instructions and other production documentation.
  • Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, CATIA, etc.) is preferred.
  • Ability to use manual metrology instruments and a solid understanding of measurement techniques is required.
  • Knowledge of lean tools such as 5S, Visual Factory, and value stream mapping is desirable.
