Overview:
The Radiology Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images while ensuring optimal patient care. This role may involve working in both the primary hospital environment and various off-site clinic locations. Occasional travel may be necessary to provide x-ray services at regional clinics.

This position entails performing both routine and advanced imaging procedures in Diagnostic Radiology, accommodating both scheduled and emergency cases, while adhering to departmental quality control and data integrity protocols.


Additional Information:

Required Education:
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program, technical school, or nursing diploma.

Recommended Education:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.

Required Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of direct experience.

Recommended Work Experience:
Experience in pediatric radiology is preferred.

Required Certifications:
Basic Life Support CPR for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) - American Heart Association, R.T.(R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Radiologic Technologist License (RTL) - Arkansas Department of Health.

Description


Exhibits proficiency in established radiographic techniques and positioning, effectively operating all necessary equipment and preparing the examination room accordingly.


Conducts thorough patient screenings, paying close attention to factors such as pregnancy, contrast usage, and any contraindications, while adeptly utilizing contrast forms for relevant examinations.

Utilizes designated communication tools and responds appropriately to inquiries.

Demonstrates familiarity with all emergency equipment and supplies.

Proactively raises any concerns regarding patient care, safety, or satisfaction to supervisors and leadership promptly.

Maintains a clean and organized work environment.

Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
