Wound Care Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled Wound Care Physician to serve as a Clinical Medical Director for our Wound Care Center in the Pinehurst, NC area. As a Clinical Medical Director, you will be responsible for leading and building your own practice within our Wound Care Center, with full administrative support to focus on patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Clinical Oversight: Serve as a physician leader responsible for the clinical, operational, and financial results of our Wound Care Center.
- Liaison with Medical Institutions: Serve as liaison with affiliated medical institutions for services required such as hospitalization and emergency medical services.
- Continuing Education and Training: Participate in regional and national conferences related to wound care improvement or new wound care information.
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber Quality and Safety: Ensure appropriate HBO chamber quality and safety, including documentation of approved indications, physician supervision requirements, and presence of a trained safety director.
- Staff Education and Community Outreach: Provide continuing wound care education to staff and community, including new advances in wound healing and new product reviews.
- Presentations and Visibility: Provide regular formal presentations to various audiences to enhance visibility of the WCC and support local medical and community education and awareness.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Actively schedule and participate in one-on-one discussions about the wound care program with primary care and surgical specialties.
- Spokesperson for Wound Care Program: Act as spokesperson for wound care program services when local media opportunities arise.
- Relationship Building: Build relationships with interdisciplinary specialties to ensure appropriate and timely consultative patient care needs.
- Self-Development: Engage in self-development through corporate training and coaching, and through participation with professional associations.
- Education: MD or DO degree.
- Certification: Board Certified preferred, may consider Board Eligible based on center requirements.
- Licensure: DEA license obtained prior to start.
- Certifications: ACLS/BLS.
