Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physical Therapist Intern to join our team at Froedtert South. As a Physical Therapist Intern, you will assist our physical therapists in patient treatments, prepare patients and equipment for treatments, and communicate effectively with staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physical therapists in patient treatments, including therapeutic exercise and modalities
  • Prepare patients and equipment for treatments
  • Communicate effectively with staff members
  • Assist with department functions, such as obtaining supplies and materials
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Specialized training (6 months to 2 years) preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a hospital, clinical, or nursing home setting preferred
  • Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a hospital, clinical, or nursing home setting
  • Ability to complete 40 hours of Student Physical Therapist Intern Level I duties and all Level I orientation and competencies
  • Enrollment in a college or university setting or pursuing credits for application to an APTA accredited physical therapy program
