Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients' functional abilities and limitations, determining the need for intervention and establishing a plan of care and treatment goals.
- Implement individualized treatment plans, considering patients' physical, social, spiritual, cultural, educational, and age-specific needs.
- Document patient information according to professional practice guidelines, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to physical therapy assistants, athletic trainers, and students, ensuring safe and effective delivery of patient care.
- Participate in departmental and facility process improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that promote quality patient care.
- Graduation from an APTA-accredited school of Physical Therapy or equivalent.
- Current Physical Therapy license within the State of practice.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to become proficient with computer software applications commonly used in an automated patient care environment.
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
