Job OverviewQualified Staffing is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join a locally owned and operated business in Perry, Ga. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining lathe and milling machines, reviewing drawings and instructions, and taking precise measurements for cutting or shaping.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate and maintain lathe and milling machines
* Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production
* Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping
* Select appropriate machine and settings for a given task
* Plan proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment
* Monitor production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary
* Maintain inventory of completed products
* Check output for quality assurance and document or discard defects
* Identify need for and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs
* Maintain a safe and clean workstation

Qualifications:

* Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
* Solid written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient in math
* Basic computer skills
