We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Travel Contract RN in the Emergency Department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to a mainly geriatric population.
Responsibilities- Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct and guide patient teaching, activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a RN (Emergency Department preferred).
- Critical care background preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Completion of a fully accredited Certification Surgical Tech program
- Minimum two years Emergency Room RN experience
- Active unencumbered RN Massachusetts state license
- Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
- TNCC Certification required
- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
