Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at 22nd Century Technologies. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to students hospitalized in our student health services unit, or to inmates, juvenile offenders, or consumers housed in state-owned/operated facilities/institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides professional nursing care to students hospitalized in student health services unit, or to inmates, juvenile offenders, or consumers housed in state-owned/operated facilities/institutions
- Observes, assesses, and records symptoms, reactions, and progress of infirmary patients and/or clinic out-patients
- Makes nursing rounds, takes and records vitals, prepares and administers prescribed medications and ordered treatment plans and/or immunizations
- Monitors restrained patients and provides immediate medical attention to emergencies
- Contacts staff physician when necessary and counsels patients regarding need for medical referrals
- Schedules, assigns, and reviews work of lower-level staff, including RNs and LPNs, and participates in staff development and education
- Reviews care plans written by staff and trains and/or orients new employees
Requirements:
- Active RN License for the state of Ohio
- BLS/CPR Certificate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
