POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Housekeeping Attendant plays a vital role in assisting Inspectors and Room Attendants to achieve quality and efficiency standards. Responsibilities include performing various light cleaning tasks to uphold the cleanliness and orderliness of resort facilities. Duties may encompass making beds, restocking linens, cleaning guest rooms and common areas, and vacuuming. Deliver the highest level of service to guarantee that guests enjoy a memorable vacation experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Transport linens, towels, toiletries, and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts.
  • Sanitize equipment and supplies with appropriate cleaning agents.
  • Dispose of waste, clean ashtrays, and manage trash disposal.
  • Observe necessary precautions to safeguard hotel and guest property, reporting any damage or lost items to supervisors.
  • Restock supplies, including drinking glasses, linens, writing materials, and bathroom essentials.
  • Clean carpets, upholstered furniture, and drapes using vacuum cleaners and shampooers.
  • Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and carts.
  • Rearrange furniture and change mattresses as needed.
  • Hang drapes and clean window blinds.
  • Request maintenance services and assist repair personnel as required.
  • Sort, count, and label clean linens for storage.
  • Run errands, including laundry services.
  • Clear debris from outdoor areas.
  • Deliver items such as televisions, ironing boards, and cribs to guest rooms.
  • Replace light bulbs as necessary.
  • Respond to telephones and doorbells.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adhere to scheduled work hours and maintain punctuality.
  • Present a professional appearance and wear the designated uniform.
  • Assist guests and address concerns promptly.
  • Utilize supplies and equipment in an efficient manner.
  • Ensure cleanliness of company vehicles.
