Your Role: As a Registered Professional Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for delivering coordinated nursing care to patients within a designated care unit. You will manage and supervise clinical activities daily, ensuring that nursing practices align with state and facility regulations. Additionally, you will oversee and guide the activities of various nursing and support staff, utilizing professional judgment and discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the Nursing Process, which includes:
- Assessment: Gather comprehensive health data from patients, families, and healthcare providers, prioritizing based on patient needs.
- Diagnosis: Analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses, validating with patients and families as appropriate.
- Outcome Identification: Establish expected outcomes tailored to each patient, ensuring they are realistic and culturally appropriate.
- Planning: Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
- Implementation: Carry out interventions as per the care plan in a safe and timely manner.
- Evaluation: Continuously assess patient progress and modify care plans as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in Georgia is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory upon hire.
- An Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care environment is essential.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required within 18 months of hire.
