Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee, review, and manage updates to departmental policy documentation in alignment with company, agency, investor, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and department leaders to ensure timely completion and integration of policy updates into mortgage and default servicing processes.
- Identify compliance-related activities for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, FHA, VA, and USDA accounts, ensuring all actions are executed and documented appropriately.
- Work with cross-functional teams on special projects, ensuring efficient and timely execution.
- Establish strong working relationships with leaders across various departments, including legal, risk, operations, sales, and servicing, to address and resolve issues as they arise.
- Evaluate the adequacy of internal controls and procedures in relation to investor requirements and applicable laws.
- Conduct regular reviews of mortgage and default servicing activities and systems, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
- Gather necessary documentation to support internal and external audit requests.
- Monitor any deficiencies identified by company, agency, investor, or regulatory bodies and oversee the remediation process.
- Collaborate with the Default Management leader to develop quality control program procedures for delinquency management and default prevention.
- Report comprehensive results of all testing to senior management within the department.
- Ensure compliance with investor reporting requirements.
- Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations related to this position, including the Univest Code of Conduct.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience, ideally in residential mortgage loan policy.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to systematically track and follow up on action plans.
- Experience in a financial services or corporate environment is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac requirements.
- Familiarity with collection laws and regulations (FDCPA).
- Demonstrated ability to innovate, work efficiently, multitask, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with credit, loan origination, servicing, and core processing systems, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
