Auxiliary Programs Assistant

The Auxiliary Programs Assistant will work alongside a Green Trees faculty member to ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and professional standards. This role involves maintaining an interactive and engaging classroom environment that is clean and organized.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the safety, activity, and engagement of children at all times
- Be a positive role model and foster a safe, fun, and healthy environment
- Attend all scheduled days, orientation, and training
- Participate in professional development and required meetings
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of Newman at all times
- Complete assigned duties
- Follow the specific classroom routine outlined by the Green Trees faculty member
- Engage in purposeful play indoors and outdoors, including climbing stairs, walking, squatting, or kneeling
- Assist children with daily tasks, such as changing diapers, supporting potty training, and frequent hand washing
- Monitor aftercare snack and transition children safely to and from the classroom and outside spaces
- Assist with lifting children into strollers and walking them to caregivers
- Engage in daily cleaning responsibilities, including sanitizing shared spaces, classroom materials, and tables and chairs
- Utilize an online learning management system to record incidents, health checks, and attendance
- Create and manage a Later Gator bin of materials
- High school or equivalent (required)
- 1 year childcare experience (preferred)
This is a part-time temporary position.
