Job Summary
The Nurse Aide I/Clinical Secretary provides critical support to patients, families, and professional staff, ensuring efficient and customer-oriented service delivery. This role actively supports WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model, delivering patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide secretarial support to patients and families, ensuring efficient and effective communication.
- Support the Registered Nurse in delivering patient care, adhering to the PFCC model.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
- 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required; College courses in Nurse Aide required.
- Nurse Aide I certification required.
Work Schedule
This role requires a flexible schedule, including:
- Wednesday and Friday: 3pm - 7pm
- Saturday: 7pm - 7am
- Every weekend
- 12/24 hours of call as needed per schedule
