Job Title: Blueprint Reading Instructor

We are seeking an experienced instructor to facilitate Blueprint Reading for Welding courses for 10th-12th graders from the School District of Philadelphia participating in the College's Industrial Welding Pre-Apprenticeship Program. This introductory class will provide instruction in the theory and skills necessary to read conventional drawings commonly used in the manufacturing industry. Students will learn how to identify manufacturing print types and become familiar with common vocabulary associated with print reading. This course is a combination of blueprint reading and measurement to give students a better understanding of manufacturing processes.

As a Blueprint Reading Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering provided curriculum, creating an engaging classroom experience, and ensuring core course deliverables are met. You will also provide feedback to students on assignments and in-class discussions. Additionally, you will demonstrate appropriate use of existing technology to further learning for students and incorporate instructional technology to support the learning process.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in teaching and a passion for training. You should have a Bachelor's degree and/or relevant work experience. Training or teaching experience in a High School setting is preferred, as well as skilled trade-based work experience. Qualified candidates will have working knowledge of designing and delivering effective in-person instruction and strong interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be able to establish an inclusive environment in the classroom, demonstrate an understanding of, and sensitivity to, the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of the College's faculty, staff, and students. They will also be able to manage the learning environment with a student-centered focus and implement diverse teaching and learning strategies that accommodate the learning styles of students.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
* All applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and/or relevant work experience

* Training or teaching experience in a High School setting
