Wild Mind Ales is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to cover the Milwaukee, WI market area for our fast-growing WLD WTR cannabis beverage brand. The Sales Representative is responsible for working closely with our on and off premise accounts, being a creative force in helping activate both on and off premise accounts, and developing effective long-lasting relationships at all levels of the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:- Account Development: Build and maintain relationships with key accounts in the Wisconsin market, including liquor stores, bars, restaurants, and grocery stores.
- Product Distribution: Increase package distribution for on and off premise accounts, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products.
- Travel and Merchandising: Frequent travel is required to visit accounts, deliver and merchandise products, and participate in promotional events.
- Relationship Building: Develop relationships with distributor sales reps to educate and gain placements in key accounts.
- Promotional Calendar: Work with the team to execute a promotional calendar geared towards building sales and distribution.
- Market Analysis: Identify new opportunities with distributors by maintaining clear communication of brewery capabilities and goals.
- Event Planning: Plan and execute fun and engaging promotional events, including tastings with retailers.
- Communication: Maintain frequent communication with wholesale partners to ensure follow-through on commitments.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor and report progress of sales goals and target accounts using data analytics tools.
- Brewery Offerings: Effectively communicate brewery offerings to new retailer partners through established sales techniques.
- Distributor Relations: Interact with nationwide distributors to encourage rebuys and track depletion in other states.
- Sales Goals: Work closely with the brewing team to create sales goals and strategies.
- Account Management: Routinely follow up with existing accounts and meet with prospective retail, contract, and private-label accounts.
- Inventory Management: Manage sales performance reporting and inventory management to avoid overstocks and understocks.
- Experience: 2+ years of craft beer sales or alcohol industry experience required.
- Territory Knowledge: Working knowledge of the Midwest territory.
- Passion: Be passionate about craft beer and THC.
- Physical Demands: Ability to regularly lift cases and maneuver full kegs when required.
- Business Acumen: Self-motivated and able to work independently in an autonomous fashion while maintaining strong business sense in regards to time constraints, financial guidelines, and company ethics.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and clean driving record.
- Schedule: Flexible work schedule with ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer Skills: High-level computer skills with working knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Lilypad.
