Music Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Music Therapist to join our Student Support Services team at Monroe County Consortium. As a Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic music services to students, promoting their emotional, social, and academic well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized music therapy plans to meet the unique needs of students
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other support staff to ensure seamless integration of music therapy services into the educational setting
• Provide music-based interventions to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development
• Assess student progress and adjust music therapy plans as needed
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a supportive and inclusive environment

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Music Therapy or a related field
• Board certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC)
• Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
