Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and repair diesel vehicles and equipment, performing preventative maintenance and diagnosing issues as needed.
- Conduct thorough inspections of brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure proper operating condition.
- Overhaul and rebuild heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions, installing new components as required.
- Complete routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication of equipment and machinery.
- Train and guide other mechanics in their roles, promoting a safe and inclusive working environment.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- 5-7 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and refrigeration &/or overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and associated systems.
- Competitive pay rate up to $29.36 per hour.
