Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at 10 Monument Health Rapid City Hospital, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology and experience with CT scans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently demonstrate a thorough knowledge of patient positioning, principles of CT radiation exposure, quality control, image reconstruction, and specialized protocols.
  • Assist physicians in performing procedures and provide a learning environment.
  • Prepare and administer contrast, using aseptic techniques, and document patient information accurately.
  • Develop and maintain teamwork, demonstrate a willingness to learn new procedures, and accept additional responsibilities.
  • Ensure procedures and related supplies are billed correctly and present high-quality images to radiologists.
  • Competently work within required computer programs and manual downtime processes.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED Equivalent: General Studies, Graduate - Radiology Program
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification - American Heart Association (AHA); (ARRT)(R) (CT) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification with advanced certification in Cat Scan or completion of CT Registry within 12 months of hire

Physical Requirements

Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly, and/or more than 50 pounds frequently, and/or more than 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances.
