Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Art Teacher to join our team at Edinburg Independent School District. As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for providing students with a comprehensive and engaging art education that fosters their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for art education
  • Provide students with opportunities to explore various art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking
  • Encourage students to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills through art projects and activities
  • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into the curriculum and promote cross-disciplinary learning
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their artistic skills

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field
  • Valid Texas teaching certification in Art Education
  • Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
