Job Summary:

Banner Health is seeking a skilled Special Procedures Technologist to join our Interventional Radiology team at Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical center.

About the Role:

This position performs prescribed radiographic procedures as directed by following department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols. The successful candidate will ensure optimal care and treatment to our patient population, applying learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders.
  • Educate patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed, demonstrating professional behavior/conduct in all interactions.
  • Produce high-quality images and prepare/present them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation, maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Demonstrate competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable, adhering to radiation safety policies and maintaining a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors.

Requirements:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with additional education or training in radiologic technology or a related field. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

This position is based in a typical direct patient care environment, with the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently.
