POSITION SUMMARY

The Truss Shop Assembly Supervisor is responsible for overseeing repetitive assembly tasks, guiding and training the assembly workforce to efficiently produce items such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs through the execution of the following responsibilities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Organizes and delegates work assignments within the assembly team to achieve daily, weekly, or project-specific production targets.
  • Monitors job progress and reports on team efficiency and output.
  • Trains new assembly personnel in essential assembly tasks, including techniques, tool usage, machinery operation, and safety protocols.
  • Adapts to a dynamic work environment where product models vary.
  • Aligns components according to specified configurations.
  • Secures parts using bolts, clips, screws, adhesives, or other fastening methods.
  • Identifies and removes defective products as necessary.
  • Operates machinery for fastening or fitting components on the assembly line.
  • Switches between different workstations based on production requirements.
  • Maintains cleanliness of equipment, floors, and workspaces in accordance with safety standards.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

LEADERSHIP ROLE

This position provides guidance to the workflow but does not entail formal supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least two years of experience in component assembly or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in carpentry or manufacturing is preferred.

  • Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, extreme temperatures, and noise levels that may require hearing protection.
