Key Responsibilities
  • Meat Product Preparation: Work in a refrigerated environment to prepare meat products to feed lines and/or prepare for the next stage of processing.
  • Efficient Processing: Effectively utilize tools, processes, and materials to process and package meat products within planned schedules.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Follow all Food Safety requirements and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to ensure the highest quality products.
  • Visual Inspection: Perform visual inspection of meat products to meet certain specifications.
  • Meet Company Standards: Meet company standards and customer specifications for meat products.
  • Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the general work area.
Requirements
  • Work Environment: Work continually in a refrigerated environment (35°F- 45°F) and for periods of time in a freezer environment (-10°F to +10°F) with company-provided apparel.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to perform various physical activities for described lengths of time, including sitting, standing, walking, driving, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, stepping/climbing/balancing, stooping/squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching above shoulder, grasping objects, manipulating objects, and reaching/turning.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: High School graduate or GED preferred with basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Experience: Production, warehouse, food processing, manufacturing, food production, or food service warehouse environments preferred.
