Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Overview:
Stant is seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to ensure that our products meet rigorous quality standards and comply with both internal and external requirements as well as customer expectations.
About Stant:
Founded in 1898, Stant is a premier global entity in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of fuel vapor management and delivery systems, including fuel caps, radiator caps, and thermostats. Our clientele includes major automotive and industrial players, and we maintain a robust engineering and manufacturing presence across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement customer-specific quality standards for ongoing production and new product launches.
- Collaborate effectively with manufacturing teams on the production floor.
- Prepare essential process documentation and PPAP submissions for customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor customer portals to enhance response times to quality issues.
- Provide prompt solutions to manufacturing challenges and customer inquiries.
- Continuously analyze processes and data to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct Gauge R&R studies for mechanical instruments and assembly equipment.
- Develop and train staff on Quality Alerts as necessary.
- Support the maintenance of IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new processes and equipment.
- Participate in pilot runs for new programs.
- Perform process audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead corrective action initiatives using problem-solving methodologies such as A3 or 8D.
- Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical field.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering within an automotive manufacturing context.
- Proficient in quality planning and familiar with AIAG core tools including FMEAs, PPAPs, and SPC standards.
- Knowledgeable in automotive or industrial manufacturing processes, including production flow and equipment.
- Experience with statistical analysis and quality tools such as PFMEA and PPAP.
- Proactive in identifying potential issues early in the process.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with IATF16949 is preferred; auditing experience is a plus.
- Strong team player with good judgment and the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
- Experience in lean manufacturing or project management is desirable.
- Certification from the American Society for Quality, such as CQE, is preferred.
