The Role

The Manager Network Implementation is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the engineering and construction efforts for Enterprise networks and customers. This role requires strong leadership and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and make timely decisions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Network Specialists, Engineers, and Network Implementation Program Managers, and will work closely with the Director Network Implementation to achieve business objectives.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Manage and supervise staff by appraising performance, training, administering salaries, and communicating department objectives.
  2. Drive continued training on new systems, improve processes and procedures, and push initiatives throughout the organization.
  3. Participate in the process of negotiating and/or bidding of projects with vendors/contractors for the construction/installation of OSP facilities.
  4. Responsible for capital and expense budgets to support area along with meeting and exceeding required build schedules for business as usual (BAU) work including growth, rehab, road moves, site vacates, and administer fiber outage restoration.
  5. Establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships with personnel at all impacting organizations as well as other external contacts so that issues are resolved correctly and timely.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and training.
  • 2-4 years of telecommunications engineering and construction knowledge and experience.
  • 1+ year of previous supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills required, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, etc.).
  • Possess strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to analyze and manage financial data and that include capital and expense budgets.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, demands with competing priorities, all while making timely decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience, preferably with 5-7 years related experience and 2+ years previous manager level leadership experience.
  • Ability to prepare presentations and clearly articulate the position being taken in the presentations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills acquired through previous experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute short- and long-term objectives in a team environment.
