Key Responsibilities of the Radiologic Imaging Specialist
  • Conducting diagnostic and screening imaging procedures, which may include emergency, surgical, fluoroscopic, and portable imaging techniques.
  • Supporting physicians and radiologists during procedures that require adherence to sterile protocols.
  • Evaluating the patient's condition before and throughout all radiologic procedures.
  • Carrying out additional departmental responsibilities as required.
Required Qualifications of the Radiologic Imaging Specialist
  • Education: Completion of a radiology educational program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or an equivalent institution.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in the role of a Radiologic Imaging Specialist is preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must hold a valid Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license from the appropriate state board, along with primary certification in Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R).
