Position Overview
This role involves providing exceptional products to Pathology, facilitating accurate diagnoses. The Histologist III will engage in both routine tasks and a variety of advanced testing methods, including Immunohistochemistry, DIF, Enzyme Histochemistry, Special Stains, and Nerve Teasing, all within a dynamic and high-volume laboratory environment.
Key Details

- Work Schedule: Evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- ASCP certification is mandatory
- Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience with a solid understanding of histology.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute processing, embedding, and microtomy of routine specimens with utmost precision.
- Conduct grossing of specific specimen types, adhering to CLIA regulations if qualified.
- Perform routine and special staining with a focus on quality.
- Carry out immunohistochemistry with high standards.
- Operate and maintain laboratory processing and staining equipment.
- Ensure accuracy of results by adhering to established quality control protocols.
- Identify and report any quality control issues to the appropriate technical personnel.
- Provide training in routine areas such as processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
