Essentia Health is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect care to patients, assisting with assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of technical aspects of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of technical aspects of patient care under direct supervision.
- Provide direct and indirect care for adolescent to geriatric patients to meet their needs as directed.
- Develop and implement activity plans for patients, either individually or in group settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health care.
- Completion of six quarters or four semesters of college with an emphasis in social services or 4 years of experience working in a chemical dependency or mental health treatment program within 5 years of hire.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire.
- De-escalation training within 5 months of hire if no previous de-escalation training or has not had a de-escalation training/refresher within past 3 calendar years.
- Day/Night Rotation (United States of America)
- Varying shift start/end times
- 64 hours per pay period
- Compensation range: $32.94/hour
- Union: USWA Technical Workers SMMC (UTECH)
- FTE: 0.8
- Weekends: rotation
