Position Overview:
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Unit Manager, Lead Nurse, or designated representative, the Patient Care Technician engages in various clinical activities to support nursing staff in delivering both indirect and direct patient care within a designated unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing comprehensive patient care under the guidance of nursing professionals.
- Participate in clinical experiences that enhance patient support and care delivery.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned to ensure smooth operations within the unit.
Qualifications:
- Must maintain active enrollment in an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, ensuring good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Completion of at least one quarter or semester of clinical rotations is required prior to employment.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is mandatory upon hiring.
Licensure:
- Washington Nursing Technician Registration is required upon employment.
