Job Summary

In this position, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical and electrical components of transformers, supporting research and development of new technologies, and leading project planning and design. You will also collaborate with other engineering teams to develop innovative solutions and ensure design transferability to production sites.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical and electrical components of transformers;
  • Support research and development of new technologies;
  • Lead project planning and design, estimating resources, timeline, and cost;
  • Construct working prototypes to validate performance compared to requirements;
  • Assist in aftersales technical issues;
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to develop innovative solutions;
  • Document intellectual property and create patent applications;

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related field, strong knowledge of engineering principles and procedures, and experience in designing transformers for reliability and manufacturability. You should also have proficiency in professional level CAD software and experience using standard office productivity software.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience as a technical contributor throughout the design and development project stages, analyzing power quality, and analyzing system design would be an asset.

Compensation

This role offers a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, paid vacation and holidays, excellent medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with match, tuition reimbursement, employee assistance program, and company-paid life and disability insurance.
