Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team at Premier Urgent Care of Beaumont. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient flow, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Front Desk Operations
  • Greet and register patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process.
  • Manage patient flow, prioritizing tasks to minimize wait times.
Administrative Support
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information, updating records as necessary.
  • Process payments, collect co-pays, and manage cash drawer.
Medical Records Management
  • Scan and title documents, maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records.
  • Retrieve and fax/mail medical records to primary care providers and insurance carriers as requested.
Communication and Customer Service
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and forward them to the appropriate staff member.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Graduate of an accredited medical receptionist program preferred.
  • Experience
    • Two years' previous medical office experience preferred.
    • Customer Service training preferred.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • BLS Certification preferred.
  • Skills
    • Ability to work independently and with the public in a fast-paced environment.
    • Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
