Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide high-quality therapeutic services to patients in need of speech-language intervention.

Department: Speech Pathology

Work Schedule: PRN, with operational hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including rotating weekends (minimum of one per month) and on-call duties for Sundays and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat individuals requiring speech-language therapy.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions using established techniques tailored to the patient's condition.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding treatment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to performance improvement protocols.
  • Assist in planning and facilitating patient discharge from therapy services, including information on relevant support programs.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification:

  • Current BLS Provider certification required within one month of hire or transfer.
  • Credentialing as a Speech-Language Pathologist from the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services is mandatory prior to employment.
  • Preferred credentialing from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Educational Background:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

Achievement of the Certificate of Clinical Competence is highly regarded.
