Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at Ryder System. As a key member of our Supply Chain Solutions division, you will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and overseeing logistics operations to ensure seamless execution of our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day logistics operations to meet company standards and customer service specifications.
  • Plan and review logistics processes in collaboration with the Logistics Manager to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to coordinate activities of workers and ensure optimal shift/team logistics.
  • Accountable for site Key Performance Indication (KPI) and work closely with customers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Meet regularly with team members to monitor progress, track performance, coach, and counsel, as well as recognize team and individual successes.
  • Cultivate team spirit and promote cooperation by seeking opportunities to improve internal processes.
  • Carry out performance evaluations of team members and recommend performance awards and/or merit increases when appropriate.
  • Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary process.
  • Understand labor agreement and maintain positive labor relations with all employees.
  • Responsible for implementation of health & safety and security initiatives, practices, and behaviors and adherence to company rules and policies.
  • Provide appropriate orientation for employees and Lead Hands and give them the information, technology, and any material necessary to perform their jobs.
Requirements
  • H.S. diploma/GED required.
  • One (1) year or more experience in transportation, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred.
  • 0 to One (1) year direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
