About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate RN Student Nurse Extern PRN Oncology to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a Nurse Extern, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and assist with providing patient care, including direct and indirect patient care, patient mobility, and education.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement a care plan.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
