Tennis Center Director

The Cary Leeds Center for Tennis & Learning seeks a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as its next General Manager. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring seamless registration processes, scheduling, and facility management.
About Us
New York Junior Tennis & Learning (NYJTL) is a nonprofit organization with a mission to foster the development of young people by building their character through tennis and education. The Cary Leeds Center, located in the Bronx, NY, is one of our flagship facilities, offering state-of-the-art tennis facilities and life skills workshops.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, capable of setting a clear vision for the Center, inspiring and motivating staff and players. They will oversee strategic planning, operational management, leadership and team management, revenue generation and financial management, community engagement, and sales and marketing. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing a comprehensive strategic plan for the tennis center.
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless registration processes, scheduling, and facility management.
- Providing strong leadership, effectively communicating the vision and goals of the center to staff, coaches, and players.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in hospitality management or sports management, with substantial private club or hospitality experience. They should have proven track records in leadership and management, sales and revenue generation, and financial acumen. Additionally, they should be skilled in creating and implementing strategic plans, anticipating market trends, and evaluating competition. A confident, diplomatic, and competent professional who is a doer and take-charge person, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer
We offer an excellent benefits package, including health insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, and paid time off. The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $150,000 annually.
