Minimum rate of pay: $33.92 PLUS Daily PAY

Role Summary:

The Oncology Unit at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System is a 32-bed facility dedicated to providing care for adults facing hematologic and oncologic conditions, as well as a variety of general medical issues.

This unit also employs telemetry services to monitor patients effectively.

Common cases include solid tumors, hematological malignancies, pain management, terminal illnesses, diabetes, substance abuse, complex family dynamics, and multi-system organ diseases.


Available Shifts:
7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Employment Status:
Full time, Part time with every other weekend and holiday requirements for both Full-time and Part-time staff

Qualifications:

Education: Completion of a nursing program that qualifies the graduate to take the NCLEX exam for Registered Nurse licensure.

A BSN is preferred. Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.

Certifications: BLS and ACLS are required for specific departments.

Experience: Experienced Canadian Registered Nurses are encouraged to apply.

Graduation from an accredited nursing program is essential.


Effective January 1, 2013, all new hires must possess a BSN degree or agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years of hire or transfer to an RN role.

Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and age-specific care is necessary.

Strong interpersonal skills are required to foster collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.

Critical thinking abilities are essential for fulfilling the primary duties and responsibilities of this role.


Attention to detail is crucial when planning and delivering professional nursing care.
