Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dialysis Nurse Specialist to join our team at Carle Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to patients undergoing dialysis treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient status through interview, observation, and physical assessment to identify actual problems and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to achieve expected patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on dialysis treatment, including in-center hemodialysis, home hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis.
  • Supervise and direct Patient Care Technicians and clerical staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Ensure all safety checks and daily checklists are completed on all machines, including the Main Reverse Osmosis Machine.
Requirements
  • Current licensure in good standing as a Registered Nurse in the State of IL.
  • One or more years of experience working as a RN, with required nursing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser skills.
