What We Do:

The Powertrain Integration team is responsible for coordinating physical and functional integration between the Powertrain System and the rest of the aircraft. This involves collaborating with various teams to design, develop, and test innovative solutions that meet structural and safety requirements while optimizing mass, cost, efficiency, manufacturability, and serviceability.

You'll contribute to powertrain physical integration strategies, communicate effectively with hardware engineering teams, and apply attention to detail in GD&T analyses and installation drawings to convey assembly intent.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement powertrain physical integration strategies
  • Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to resolve tight packaging challenges
  • Apply expertise in GD&T analyses and installation drawings to ensure accurate assembly instructions
  • Promote the use of CAD methods and best practices within the Powertrain department
  • Lead hardware integration verification activities, including CAE, physical mockups, and hardware testing
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in engineering; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience in mechanical design and packaging of complex systems in aerospace and/or automotive applications
  • Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals across a broad range of topics
  • Proficiency in 3DX/Catia software
  • Knowledge of standards DO160G, DO-311A
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
