Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address students' unique needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings, promoting their independence and self-confidence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' educational goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide professional recommendations to support students' educational success.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid Indiana state license as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
