Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at Personnel Services. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory control functions and procedures, planning and scheduling workload activities, and communicating with associates and other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory control functions and procedures in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Workload Planning: Plan, schedule, and communicate workload activities for associates in their direct work area.
  • Inter-Departmental Communication: Periodically discuss inter-department activities with other Coordinators, Production Controllers, or Supervisors.
  • Product Knowledge: Have knowledge of company Fluid Control products.
  • Safety Procedures: Follow all company Safety Procedures.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain housekeeping in responsible areas in a neat and organized manner per 6's requirements.
  • Material Handling: Complete all material handling functions as required to meet Departmental goals or as back up for Material Handlers.
  • SAP Transactions: Perform basic SAP transactions.
  • Operational Procedures: Perform tasks in accordance with established SOPs, desktop procedures, and QAPs.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate all Traffic and Logistics equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Training and Development: Ability to train associates on Compliance guidelines and use of Compliance tools.
  • Daily Meetings: Must participate in daily safety/quality meetings.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years related industry experience desired.
  • Skill Set: SAP Knowledge preferred, accuracy and attention to detail important, basic written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to work in a team-oriented environment, PC skills including Excel spreadsheet and Word processing, ability to read and understand drawings, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Physical Demands: Lift up to 50 pounds, stand for 8 – 12 hours, stoop, bend, and reach.
