Job Title: Server Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Server Engineer to join our client's team for a hybrid, contract role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Windows Server environments, Nutanix, Active Directory, and Azure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and support Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage Active Directory, including user and group management, GPOs, and security permissions.
  • Implement and manage Azure AD services, including synchronization with on-premises directories and cloud-based identity solutions.
  • Support the hybrid infrastructure, optimizing performance and ensuring reliability across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Configure and manage MFA solutions to enhance security for user authentication.
  • Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans for server and data integrity.
  • Monitor system performance, generate reports, and address any issues that arise to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years in server production support experience.
  • Proven experience as a Windows Server Administrator, with expertise in Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience with Nutanix.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2012, 2016, 2019, or later).
  • Experience with multi-factor authentication solutions and configuration.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and concepts, particularly in hybrid environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Admin).
