The compensation for the Security Guard role is set at $20 per hour.

Work Schedule:

This is a Part-Time position with hours from Monday to Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Additional work opportunities may be available, but the advertised shifts will remain consistent.

Job Responsibilities:

Security Guards are tasked with monitoring designated posts as required by our clients. Responsibilities may include patrolling the premises on foot. Guards are expected to report to the Security Manager during their shifts; in the absence of the Security Manager, they will report to the Lead Security Officer (LSO) on duty. Key duties include:

  • Communicating effectively with the operations center to relay critical security information regarding unsafe or emergency situations.
  • Inspecting the premises for unsafe conditions, hazards, security breaches, or unauthorized individuals.
  • Monitoring and operating security devices, ensuring their proper functionality.
  • Preserving evidence at the scene of incidents, including accidents and emergencies.
  • Setting up barriers and signage as needed and providing guidance or information to others.
  • Maintaining logs or reports as required for patrol and security duties.
  • Observing and reporting incidents or suspicious activities to appropriate personnel.

Additional Duties:

Security Guards may also serve as Badging Officers/System Data Administrators, responsible for managing security and access permissions for new employees, contractors, and visitors. This role includes:

  • Issuing and printing identification badges.
  • Conducting access verification and badging orientation.
  • Maintaining accurate badging records and performing badge reconciliation.
  • Escorting visitors and ensuring they meet authorized access criteria.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience is required.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Must possess a valid BSIS Guard Card and maintain its validity throughout employment.
  • Current certification in CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid is required.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screening is mandatory.
  • Reliable transportation to work is necessary.
  • Intermediate computer skills are required to operate security systems.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
  • Must be dependable, possess a positive attitude, and uphold ethical standards.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 40 pounds may be required.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
