About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Machinist I 2nd Shift to join our team at Collins Aerospace, a leading manufacturer of technologically advanced solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering plans to produce high-quality machine parts.
  • Operate manual machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders, to perform various machining operations.
  • Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts into sub-units or complete units using mechanical equipment.
  • Conduct inspections of work produced and maintain quality/safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production processes.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Current or previous experience performing manual lathe operations.
  • Ability to use measuring devices, such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
  • Ability to hold tolerances +/-.001.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manual lathe and mills experience.
  • Experience working in aerospace or MRO facilities.
  • Current or prior experience machining exotic metals.
