Shift: 12-Hour Day Shifts

Key Responsibilities

This role is essential in delivering care to assigned residents in a nurturing, secure, and effective manner, with responsibilities including:

  • Conducting thorough nursing assessments for all residents upon admission and continuously as per regulatory requirements.
  • Exhibiting proficiency in clinical skills as outlined in the Competency Verification and Training Checklist.
  • Ensuring residents receive prescribed medications, treatments, and procedures promptly while adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of the therapeutic effects and potential side effects of all administered medications.
  • Acquiring necessary equipment and supplies to provide optimal care.
  • Implementing strategies to manage behaviors and enhance residents' emotional well-being according to individualized care plans.
  • Utilizing the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system accurately to document all actions and changes in resident conditions.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives, including audits and corrective actions as assigned.
  • Collaborating with physicians and attending to resident reports at the beginning of each shift.
  • Providing education to residents and their families regarding care and condition changes.

Qualifications

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with prior experience in a similar role preferred. Required licensure for the state of practice and maintenance of necessary certifications is essential.

A solid understanding of fundamental nursing skills and familiarity with medication management is crucial.
