The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a Senior Custodial Supervisor for its Advanced Technology Facility. This role is pivotal in maintaining a clean and orderly environment, ensuring that the facility meets the highest standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency.

The Senior Custodial Supervisor will be responsible for a wide range of custodial and maintenance tasks, including waste management and floor care. This position involves supervising custodial staff, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with established cleanliness standards. If you possess a strong background in custodial management and a commitment to quality service, this role offers a chance to enhance the operational environment of the Advanced Technology Facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive custodial services such as waste disposal, vacuuming, and mopping
  • Coordinate room arrangements and perform light maintenance tasks
  • Delegate responsibilities, assess work quality, and resolve issues efficiently
  • Conduct regular inventory checks, mentor new staff, and escalate concerns to management
  • Report maintenance needs and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate departments
  • Execute additional cleaning duties as required

This position will primarily focus on the Advanced Technology Facility and may require weekend work.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Expertise in janitorial and maintenance practices
  • Ability to safely use ladders
  • Knowledge of custodial operations and industry best practices
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. independently
  • Experience in supervising custodial teams
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in carpet and floor maintenance, including the use of buffers and scrubbers
  • Familiarity with work order management systems
