ROLE SUMMARY

At Province Firm, we are seeking a highly skilled Associate to join our team of professionals in the Corporate Restructuring department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of our engagements, including financial and legal analysis, litigation, and developing complex financial models. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing valuations, evaluating strategic alternatives, and quantifying damages. You will work closely with our team members on a variety of engagements representing clients across various industries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical Skills: You will be required to possess advanced technical skills, including proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and Excel. You will also be expected to develop and maintain complex financial models, including 3-statement financial models, ad hoc analytics, and company valuations.
  • Analytics: You will be responsible for evaluating first-day motions, 13-week cash flow analyses, liquidity forecasting, constructing recovery waterfalls, lender update presentations, vendor analyses, SOALs / SOFA/s / MORs, KEIP & KERP analyses, liquidation, wind-down and claims analyses.
  • Client Focus: You will assist with the preparation of pitch books and provide thoughtful research and analysis for potential clients. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to work directly with senior personnel at Province Firm and our clients to develop comprehensive solutions to complex financial challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS / IDEAL CANDIDATE

Academic/Work:

  • 1 to 3 years of work experience in corporate restructuring, investment banking, private equity, finance, financial consulting, or relevant corporate positions with a financial or accounting focus.
  • Strong academic record from a reputable undergraduate/graduate program.
  • Pursuit of a CPA, CFA, or other financial designations will be viewed favorably.

Technical:

  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel capabilities.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with financial/data analytics.
  • Familiarity with the US Bankruptcy code is a plus.
