Culinary Specialist

At Wheatland Nursing Center, we are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing nutritious meals for our residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met, and providing exceptional customer service.

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established recipes and dietary guidelines
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and safety standards are met
• Manage food inventory, ordering, and storage
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager to plan menus and make recommendations for food-related items
• Provide input on supplies and equipment needs
• Practice person-centered care and customer service excellence

• Minimum age of 16
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment
• Experience in meal planning, budgeting, and dietary operations
