This position is integral to the development and management of our infection prevention and control program, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and oversee the infection control program in alignment with federal, state, and local guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations set forth by CMS, CDC, OSHA, and other governing bodies.
  • Coordinate health programs for both team members and residents, including vaccination initiatives.
  • Lead the Infection Control and Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee, providing insights and recommendations based on infection control trends.
  • Analyze infectious disease reports, ensuring thorough follow-up and documentation.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on infection data for nursing and administrative leadership.
  • Act as the primary liaison with local and state public health authorities during outbreak responses.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance infection control practices.
  • Monitor compliance with decontamination and sterilization protocols.
  • Facilitate ongoing education and training programs related to infection control for all team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing required.
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience in acute or long-term care settings.
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
