Industrial CDL Operator
This role involves the proficient operation of machinery at designated client locations. The individual will be responsible for upholding exceptional standards of client service through effective business practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares the site with necessary equipment such as water blast hoses or vacuum hoses. Safely transports machinery to various job sites. Conducts minor repairs on vehicles or equipment as required. Monitors and maintains oil and fluid levels as specified. Collaborates with the labor team to perform manual tasks, utilizing specialized machinery to dislodge materials for vacuuming, water blasting surfaces, or clearing pipes and tubes. Ensures all equipment is cleaned and maintained before returning to company facilities. Performs additional tasks as assigned.FURTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position may assist labor personnel in completing job tasks. Occasionally works alongside labor teams. Requires mechanical aptitude to maintain pumps and equipment on-site, often without access to tools or a workshop. Availability for on-call duties at various hours and days due to the nature of emergency response operations. Must be prepared for extended and non-traditional working hours as part of the role.REQUIRED SKILLS:
Capability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Ability to sustain a consistent workload involving significant physical labor. Maintains alertness and focus, unaffected by medication, diet, or physical conditions. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, sit, and navigate in confined spaces. Must be able to wear respirators in environments with potential exposure to chemicals and fumes. Willingness to travel to various locations for extended periods, with work hours that may exceed the standard 8-hour shift.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma with a focus on industrial or vocational training preferred. CDL certification is advantageous. Previous experience in equipment operation or maintenance is beneficial. Familiarity with mechanical principles is a plus. Certification in operating specific equipment such as Water Blasters, Wet/Dry Vacuums, and/or Wash Trucks is preferred. Knowledge of heavy machinery operation and repair is an asset. 7-8 years of practical experience in heavy equipment maintenance is preferred.
