We are currently seeking a dedicated Culinary Service Associate.

*$300 new hire sign-on bonus available for this position. (Rehires who have been away for more than one year are also eligible)*

Hours: 12 hours per week

Shift: Evening shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

Key Responsibilities:

This position reports to the Manager of Culinary or Operations Manager within the Food & Nutrition Services Department. Responsibilities include supporting the main kitchen operations by:

  • Setting up all workstations and performing assigned tasks.
  • Thoroughly breaking down stations and ensuring they are cleaned and sanitized.
  • Conducting floor stock procedures.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and food surfaces in accordance with established protocols.
  • Ensuring all food items are accurately dated, labeled, and rotated prior to storage or sale.
  • Utilizing proper utensils to guarantee accurate portioning.
  • Performing other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow written instructions. Previous experience with food safety and sanitation procedures is preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and the COVID-19 virus or provide an exemption for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying the choice to be exempt from vaccination upon hiring.

Compensation:

Pay Range: USD $21.42 per hour.
