We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our Home Health team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a critical role in helping patients achieve optimal levels of self-care and independence.
Key Responsibilities- Perform clinical evaluations, diagnosis, and therapy to develop and/or improve the patient's communicative functions and abilities.
- Facilitate the progression of the patient in their home toward optimal levels of self-care.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address patient's communication, mobility, and safety needs.
- Provide education and training to patients and families on communication and mobility techniques.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
- Licensed in the State of Illinois (or eligible for licensure).
- Has completed a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Able to demonstrate compliance with state continuing education requirements.
- 1 year of clinical experience or demonstration of strong spectrum of clinical affiliation experience.
- Basic knowledge of computer use (i.e. Microsoft Word, email access and use).
- Ability to learn and use computer-based scheduling and documentation system.
- Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and through written reports, with strong documentation skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good time management and self-organization skills.
- Proficient use of all home-based therapy equipment and assistive devices.
- Licensed as Speech Therapist in the State of Illinois. Clinical competence certificate issued by the American Speech and Hearing Association.
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays.
- Requires adherence to scheduled days and hours of work based on commitment to patient/client and work load assigned.
- Ability to attend mandatory informational/education/branch meetings.
The Speech Therapist will work in a variety of settings, including patient homes and assisted living facilities. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and use patient handling equipment when necessary.
Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of $74,672.00-$112,112.00 for full-time annual base salary. In addition to base pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
